Amazon Leaks Date, Information For Next Division Expansion
As far as bad news for Ubisoft goes, this is far kinder than about every other recent development. Between a potential hostile takeover and a released game that just won’t work, the accidental leak of their next big announcement feels positively benign.
So…this is what happened. Amazon.com posted the release date for The Division’s first real expansion. It’s called The Underground and it’s coming out June 28. You’ll be able to purchase it as soon as June 25, but it won’t become playable until the stroke of midnight on June 28.
Other info thanks to Amazon: the official descriptions for the second and third DLC packs, which will be timed exclusives on XBox One at first.
Expansion I: Underground
Available in June, this first major expansion lets players explore the uncharted underworld of New York City. Players will chase deadly enemies with up to three other Agents through an endless maze of tunnels and subways.
Expansion II: Survival
Available this summer, this expansion will challenge players to survive as long as possible by gathering essential supplies in a very hostile environment.
Expansion III: Last Stand
Next winter, a new threat rises as players and their squad must prepare to defend against a relentless foe.
Ubisoft will likely pretend this didn’t happen and announce The Underground at E3. At that point, though, we should have a trailer. We’ll get it to you as soon as it’s revealed, either by Ubisoft or by an unwitting merchant.
