Amazon Will Deliver Black Ops 3 To Your Door At Midnight, Under Certain Conditions
Many game retailers are holding midnight parties tonight, with the intent of selling Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 the second the calendar switches over to November 6. But if you bought Black Ops 3 through Amazon, you may still be able to receive your copy at the same time. No, not by drone, but close.
Amazon has been testing a new membership service called Amazon Prime NOW in a few select cities (20 by recent count). If you’re a member of Amazon Prime and the item you buy from the website is on a specific list, you can have it delivered to your door in one hour, as opposed to two days (or more). Currently, to make your item a Prime Now item, you must use the Prime Now app to reserve a late-night delivery.
Stephenie Landry, Amazon’s worldwide director of Prime Now, said “We’re making it easy for hardcore gamers to download the app, reserve a coveted delivery window for midnight delivery and sit back while the game comes right to their doors. Our Prime customers will be on their way to ranking up before they know it, and all without having to leave the comfort of their house.”
If you live in a major city, you don’t feel like walking, and you have a smartphone, you can have Black Ops 3 at your door this very night. Or you could just purchase the game digitally.
