Bioshock Collection Coming To PS4 And XBox One? Maybe
“Raru” is the name of a South African online merchant that has been known to let products slip out ahead of when they were intended to be common knowledge. The media first found out about the Greninja, Jigglypuff and Splatoon amiibos through them, and now they appear to have stumbled once more: a listing for something called “Bioshock Collection” was briefly up, mentioning a release date of November 27.
If publisher 2K Games wants to rerelease the Bioshock series for current-gen systems, that’s no surprise. What is a surprise is how soon that release date appears to be — a little over two months, with still no official announcement. If the product is real (we still can’t say for sure), shouldn’t the curtain have been lifted already?
The original Bioshock made waves in the gaming community for being that rare FPS with brains. Sadly, it remains nearly alone in that category, but it got two sequels both excellent (Bioshock Infinite, by the original creator and team) and not-so excellent (Bioshock 2, a filler game made by someone else). It’s assumed a Bioshock Collection would contain all content created for the series to date.
The Bioshock Collection was listed as coming to Playstation 4 and XBox One. No mention of PC.
