Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Companion App Will Help Players Fight Clan Wars
Activision has announced a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare companion app will be launching Nov. 3, along with the Day Zero launch of the game.
The app is for iOS, Android, Windows and Kindle. It’s focused on the game’s Clan Wars mode, which allows players to create clans and fight other clans in special events.
The first Clan War for the game will have its pre-qualifying round to determine rankings shortly after the game starts Nov. 15 and 16. The first Clan War will run Nov. 26-Dec. 1. Winners will get a special golden exoskeleton, seen below.
Where does the app come in? It provides you several tools to manage your Clan Wars experience, including:
• A war room function that lets you check current activity, stats and scoreboard and other info.
• Tools to manage your roster, including a new Active Roster feature that lets clan leaders temporarily remove clan members when real life gets in the way and they aren’t able to compete.
• A clan profile page that highlights the top performing members of a clan.
• Exclusive clan calling cards, including new cards you can unlock by competing in Clan Wars or multi-player.
• An emblem editor to personalize your clan.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be out Nov. 3 for those who pre-order and get the Day Zero edition and Nov. 4 for everyone else. Platforms are Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and Windows.
