Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Atlas Gorge Will Be Available at Launch Via Season Pass
Not willing to spring a more expensive collector’s edition of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare? You can still have access to its Atlas Gorge Map, as long as you buy a season pass.
Sledgehammer Games Co-Founder Michael Condrey confirmed the map would be available on Twitter when asked how many multiplayer maps would be in the base game at launch.
“13 maps plus Atlas Gorge via the collectors edition or season pass at launch,” Condrey tweeted.
The Atlas Gorge map had previously been revealed to be available in the Atlas Pro, Atlas Limited and Digital Pro special editions, but it’s nice to see it available in the season pass as well. Atlas Gorge is the spiritual return of Pipeline, a favorite map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Here’s the official description.
Atlas Gorge re-envisions the fan-favorite Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map Pipeline. The Atlas Corporation has commandeered the world’s largest power source, the Three Gorges Dam in central China, whose sinister backdrop creates a gripping setting for multiplayer battle. Combatants will navigate the shadows, explore the map’s new verticality empowered by exoskeleton technology, and control a map-based turret scorestreak that overlooks the dam and helps to keep enemies at bay.
