This week Activision released its quarterly earnings report, and there’s good news in there for fans of Call of Duty.
According to a press release about the report, Call of Duty: Ghosts was the top-selling game, overall, of the fourth quarter and a big winner on next gen:
• For the fourth quarter, in aggregate across all platforms in the U.S. and Europe combined, Activision Publishing’s Call of Duty: Ghosts was the #1 best-selling title in both units and dollars and the #1 best-selling game on both next-gen platforms in both units and dollars. Additionally, for the calendar year, Call of Duty: Black Ops II was the #9 best- selling title in both units and dollars.
It’s all part of a better than expected quarter for Activision Blizzard, Inc., where the company pulled in more than $1.5 billion in revenue.
