Captain America Chris Evans Saves China in Call of Duty Online Trailer
Time will tell if the U.S. will ever get Call of Duty Online, the Call of Duty game that’s currently in open beta in China and set for a January 11, 2015 release. Considering it’s a free-to-play title loaded with micro-transactions, I sincerely hope not.
But it looks some serious resources are being put into the rollout, hiring Captain America himself, Chris Evans, to star in a live-action trailer for the game.
Call of Duty Online, published by Tencent Holdings, is a mashup title, featuring content recycled from previous Call of Duty games like the Black Ops and Modern Warfare series, but customized for the Chinese market. The game’s free-to-play aspects allow players to customize weapons, characters and equipment.
