Destiny Update Closes The Loot Cave
Destiny’s “Loot Cave” was an exploit some gamers discovered which allowed them fire mindlessly at one spot in a cave on Earth for hours as an unending stream of monsters dropped engrams, hoping that they would eventually get one containing legendary equipment they needed to take on Destiny’s endgame content.
As of today, the Loot Cave is closed. Bungie pushed out a hotfix that made a few key changes to the game, including this notice:
The Hive of the holy “Treasure Cave” have realized the futility of their endless assault on Skywatch and have retired to lick their wounds and plan their next attack.
The hotifix cracks down on other exploits as well. Guardians will have to find other ways to beat Destiny’s grueling endgame loot climb, which is made very difficulty by the scarcity of the legendary gear.
