Destiny Update Tones Down Some Harder Missions, Queen's Wrath Starts Today
Stuck on some of Destiny’s harder missions? Bungie has released an update for the game that tones a few of them down, as well as fixing a bug that was making its six-man level 26 Vault of Glass raid even more insanely difficult to complete than its meant to be.
The nerfs are to the Shrine of Oryx, Sword of Crota and Exclusion Zone missions. All had their difficulty lowered by removing majors from heroic tiers.
Looks like the loot cave might still be active for now, at least there is no mention of fixing it. So keep shooting unless it, you know, makes you too sad.
Here are the full patch notes from Bungie:
Summary:
The latest patch for Destiny reduces the difficulty of a number of activities, as well as fixes issues when completing the Vault of Glass.
Activities
Missions
Shrine of Oryx: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers
Sword of Crota: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers
Exclusion Zone: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers
Raids
Dropping the relic at the end of the raid will no longer result in a team wipe. This will prevent players being stuck at a black screen after the raid
You will remain dead if you were dead when the mission ended. That will be addressed by a future patch
Armor
Hunter armor purchased from FWC has been changed to use the correct upgrade materials
Destiny’s Queen’s Wrath event also starts today and runs through October 6. You can start it by interacting with the bounty vendor in the Tower to gain access to a new faction emissary. New bounties and recycled missions give you a chance at some decent loot.
