Doom Should Look Nice On PC
iD Software got started on the PC and the platform is close to their heart. When the new Doom comes out on May 13, the PC version won’t just be the most advanced model of the game, it’ll be advanced beyond necessity into obsession. “PC gaming is in our DNA here at id,” said id CTO Robert Duffy in a recent blog post. “Just like so many of you, we also love to tinker with settings to get the exact experience we want — and every ounce of performance our systems can handle.”
With that in mind, here is the list of extra graphical features the new Doom is capable of, including support for two monitors at once and an uncapped framerate (if you have the capability to run it at 900fps, go for it!)
- Manually Lock Framerate (un-locked by default)
- Lights Quality
- Chromatic Aberration Toggle
- Shading Quality
- Post Process Quality
- Particles Quality
- Game F/X Quality
- Decal Quality
- Directional Occlusion
- Reflections Quality
- Depth of Field Toggle
- Decal / Texture Filtering
