Doom Will Come With A Reversible Sleeve Cover
Some people expressed displeasure upon seeing the box artwork for iD Software’s new Doom game, and wished it could be something else. The wish was granted, sort of — according to the publisher Bethesda, the bad art stays, but you’ll be able to fold the paper inside out and replace it with something better.
A vote was recently held on the official Doom website to pick from one of two alternate pieces of art that could be printed on the reverse side of the Doom packaging sleeve. Below is the winner, and it looks much better:
The other possibility was more understated and looks like your brother’s metal band T-shirt that hasn’t been washed in three weeks:
Fortunately common sense prevailed. Over 62,000 Doom fans voted in the election. The winner will be printed on the back side of the sleeve inside the new Doom, which goes on sale this May for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC.
