Everything We Know About The 2020 Walking Dead Spinoff
With 2020 just four months away, how much do we know so far about the third Walking Dead series AMC has been cooking up? Do we know its name? That’s oddly the one thing the network still won’t share, but there is info about the characters and setting out there.
The largest hint they’ve shared is that the characters will all be young. We’re treading on potentially dangerous ground here since some of TWD’s most irritating characters have been teenagers. Hopefully everyone won’t be Nick.
“What if you grew up in a world of safety…and you decided to leave, to discover the truth of you who are and what the world really is? You know….growing up. There have been things going on in the Walking Dead universe since the very start of the story, all happening over all these years, in other places we haven’t seen, with people we haven’t seen — dead we haven’t seen. But we’ll see it all this spring. A new world of The Walking Dead.”

Who are we seeing here? Annet Mahendru (Tyrant, The Americans) and Aliyah Royale (The Red Line) have been cast as the main characters, named Huck and Iris. Nico Tortorella (Scream 4, Younger, The Following) plays Felix, an “honorable man of his word who isn’t afraid to fight for others’ safety and acceptance.” There’s also Hope, played by Alexa Mansour (Unfriended: The Dark Web) and described as “a good-natured rule breaker who lives for today.” Nicolas Cantu (The Amazing World of Gumball) plays Elton, “small for his age in addition to being friendly and an old soul.” Finally there’s Hal Cumpston as Silas, “a shy loner that scares some kids, but he hates the fact that he scares people.”
The first season of this still-unnamed series will be ten episodes long, and should premiere on AMC in the spring of 2020.
