People don't take that in consideration on internet because after all it's jus a forum? Well if it's just a forum why can't you let people express how they feel and ignore them?

Anyway, I won't be around so much very soon because I am going to Israël yeah :) so a lot to prepare for my trip! I am very excited! How about you? How is life?

I lived without water or electricity for 3 months and handled it well i didn't need any men to "protect" me and I think it's so absurd to think this way when you are in a ZA, if you really want to survive you have to make everyone useful and having basic skills in self defense at least! This is one of the huge flaw I find in TWD that really annoys me.

Well regarding the members calling trolls everyone who disagree, I have seen that on other forum where the majority were under 18 ....;)
I think it's the content or the critics that matter but you phrase it. I can understand that after all the negatives thread appearing after the finale some were annoyed, however not being able to make the difference between constructive criticism and trolling is a problem....Do you say to people in real life they are trolling when you disagree with them?

I agree, remember this artcile about how TWD is sexist? And everyone said it was BS. I read it and I agree on many points the writer bring up, and tp e honest the sexist cliché was something really obvious to me when I started watching the show, I was even saying to friends, it's good it's a shame that the role are so stereotyped though, that women do the dishes and the men protect the family, feels like stone age to me.

However can you blame people who think this is actually true? If you relate to this vision how can you see the flaws in it? Maybe as women we see it because we take some shits everyday just being women. For example I love travelling, how many people asked me if I wasn't scared to have problem and how do I do if this or that happened? Seriously?

Also I can't at people praising anything and not questioning once some choices made by the writers or showrunner. I know it's a show you watch to enjoy it but I don't see how you have to turn off your brain to actually enjoy it.People say it's enternaiment yes of course but it doesn't mean it can't be brilliant.

This is why I like Mad Men you won't have major failure like in TWD. I know the pace is quite slow comparing to other Tv show, but I like it for this as well, the fact that changes takes time, plus it really sets the tone!

By the way! If you lie foreign Tv as well, check Real Humans I started watching it last week it's quite cool!

ahaha it seems you are reading my mind about season 3, this exactly what I think!
I don't know if TWD is misogynistic, maybe Glen Mazzara was. Also what I found annoying is somehow all women are dependent to men. Even Andrea, her weakness was apparently her clouded judgement when she was with men like Shane or the Gov. Lori was completely useless and dependent. She needed Shane when Rick wasn't around. The scene when she goes to ask Daryl if he can go look for Rick, Hershel and Glenn is one example. Carol is getting better however she was pretty much useless apart from crying etc...so even if some are "strong female" character, their weaknesses are so big they can't be a leader. Look at Michonne and her social skills that are pretty much 0. It's true the men aren't the best either but the female character are taking a lot of shit from the writer's room....

I agree about season 3, looking back at it I feel highly frustrated because the first half was ok, they started really interesting plots, like pairing Michonne and Andrea, the Gov, The prison but it seems they didn't use their material at all. We don't see anything of M and A relationship, and we know the Gov is a villain from the beginning. Plus the way the character change don't had up to season 1 & 2. I still can't believe how Andrea died. She ran away for a whole day while chased by a hord, she killed her own sister and she loose against Milton? Are you ****ing kidding me? I was also very disappointed by Prey the idea was good the treatment poor. Very cliche. I think Mazzara wasn't the best choice for this kind of show.
What I liked though was Carl growing and Carol. I think she'll ve very interesting (if they don't screw up like what they did to A) her progress is slow but coherent. Anyway we'll see...
I can't wait for Mad Men to start, it never disappointed me yet :)

Yes we studied a bit of everything, like cinema history but my second degree was really focused on French cinema especially the new wave era( that I don't really like but oh well...)! Wow born in Japan! so were do you live now? I had a friend she was half Japanese half English, and living in France. I am just French, my parents are French...it's boring ahaha
I'll look for Jagten then, where do you think I find TWD ^^. I am sure you'll love Dead Set it's different from TWD but somehow better quality maybe because it's shorter, anyway I find it more convincing and there is a very dark humour in it it's awesome!

Yeah well she uses the common one, but it's really funny, if you aren't too 1st degree you'll get it! Same for me usually my friends tell me what to watch or my mom. When I did my studies a festival about French cinema started ( it's actually french production so we had algerian and african movies as well...) it was really good!

I'll definitely check that thriller, I watched Borgen the tv show it's amazing! I can't wait to find the english subtitles for season 3 because sadly i don't speak danish. Well for TWD, someone told me to watch it after we talked about Dead set i don't know if you heard about this mini serie but it's really awesome! The ending is really good! So british as well ;). So is started season 1 and like it because there isn't so many show about zombies, but to be honest I have been very disappointed by season 3 it seems they lost themselves in incoherent plots.
Where are you from by the way?

Julie Delpy is really fun, I really like 2 days in New york and Le skylab. It's good fun she like to use the cliché about each country.
About Canadian film I know mainly the French one, i remember one that is a few years old called Borderline it was really good! If you like foreign film there is this French-Lebanese director who did Where do we go now it's happening in lebanon and it's amazing!
I do watch a lot of american stuff ut mainly tv show though, as you said the mainstream american cinema is very repetitive, however you can find some cool indie film so i guess it's good to stay open.

How did you hear about the TWD?

Ok i'll definitely have a look at roamers and lurkers, the issue with forums is often I find people repeating the same things but it's more their opinions which is cool not proper discussion like why you think it worked and stuff ( i talk about in general not just here). I have a friend who have a website about tv show it's really cool you can post your opinion about tv show, I love it it's really fun to see how people are critical in the good way! I read an article dissing TWD but it was fun at least so why not :)
