Honoring Carl?

    I don't follow the comics, but have seen enough references to know that Carl didn't die like this in the comics.

    If Carl didn't die in the comics, then logic dictates that the speech by Siddiq about "honoring" Carl didn't happen in the comics.

    Yet the scene happened on TV.

    Significant enough that they used that as the title of the episode.

    What does "honoring" Carl mean?

    Is it possible TV Siddiq might assume at least some of the roles of the comics Carl moving forward?

    Wouldn't Rick look out for him more because this is who his son died for trying to help...

    Whenever they see him they will be reminded of Carl...
