I feel like with some faster pacing and jumping ahead a bit we can get a disgruntled Gage setting Negan free (since his friends Addy and Rodney were killed) and we could get Negan's mini-arc with the Whisperers and he heads off against Alpha. Lol

The whisperer arc isn't completely resolved for over three more volumes (28 I think and we're getting to the end of 24 with the head on pikes), which is apprx. more than one television season. I just don't think we'll spend all of Season 10 on the Whisperers, but definitely a wrap-up by the end of 10A.

Covering Negan's little adventure and it's climax would be a shocking way to end the season and put them on pace to finish this whole Whisperers arc in 10A. We got adaptations from issue 174 this season, so jumping pretty far ahead wouldn't be too unprecedented.
