I'm glad John fessed up and Dwight understood his motivation. But then Dwight read aloud the passage about finding something meaningful to do instead of focusing on finding Sherry. There couldn't have been a clunkier way to have him decide to join the do gooder cult. That was so awful, yet I barely rolled my eyes because I had no expectation of watching a good show. Dwight was a saving grace last episode. Now they have turned him into another waste-of-time ridiculous do-gooder. Sigh.

Al broke a confidence sworn to on pain of death so she could have mopey share-time with June over someone she'd barely met. Just shoot me.

The show started up again after N0S4ATU and I noticed Morgan told Victor and Charlie not to kill the walkers because they COULD die. Not that they WOULD die. So I guess they are setting up a loophole for Alicia not to die. Yeah, the guy didn't have enough exposure, so his blood isn't deadly. Whatever. I hope she does die. I never was interested in her character, and maybe her death will spare us from any more sappy reminiscing about Madison and her never-credible change of personality that started all of this do-gooder crap in the first place.

I don't know. One? Zero?

I would have to pay attention and watch it again to meet the Say Three Good Things Challenge, and that doesn't seem likely.

Yeah, that was the most cringeworthy part of the episode for me. Al knew her for about 24 hours and most of that time was spent wondering if she was going to be killed.

That was followed closely behind by them continuing to go in circles with those damn kids. It was so contrived that they made Alicia stay until they fixed the walkers again. Plus they even took her weapon. How ridiculous. She's the one that gave them the car in the first place so they could leave the truck stop.

They have potentially good characters in this series but they're wasting them all with poor writing.

 

That too was the worst part for me. She put it as if she had lost the love of her life.

Maddison's not dead. Hopper's not dead. Alicia won't die.

4/10 - Nothing interesting, nothing too stupid

 

Luckily, Al not only knew where they could score a bunch of aviation fuel, the trip to obtain it would give her a chance to confide in her pal that she’d met someone that she could never see again. I’ll let you guys take the lead on scoffing at the way they came to a dead stop to have this conversation even though every second they spent chatting was another second closer to the nuclear reactor melting down.

I liked the tree house. That's about it.
But it should have had an established second way out. These kids can string countless numbers of the dead together but can't build a rope ladder?
I don't understand why Alicia didn't bail after the last child went down?
So she could get exposed to radiation after having another epiphany about her life and her choices.... and then she'll be magically cured, of course. Like the plane that's in pieces getting magically fixed by this group. With propellers from a completely different plane. Is that even possible?
The episode was boring and predictable.
I'm guessing that Alicia, Grace, John and Dwight will all be on that plane.
I still can't figure out how they'll all fit though.

I promise promise promise to be on the next live thread! I keep missing them because my work schedule has changed. This episode was mediocre at best. I'm willing to go out on a limb to a point, but now we are just ridiculous!

Yeah that's not very good. I think it's going to hurt them too that they're taking a short 3 week break before they return with the B side of the season. With the later start date this season they would've been better off to just run all 16 in a row.

 

I agree. For those viewers who are at this point passively watching, that 3 week break may prove to be just enough time for them to not find enough reason to jump back in 21 days later. Personally I have not even watched episode 7 and an episode 8 viewing ain't looking too darn good either.

I will continue to check the threads here to see if by some miracle there is a turn around but I am not holding out any hope.
