Gotta feel for Gamma too. I’m glad she was able to spend some time with her nephew before the end. R.I.P.

    I agree, @purriwinkle.

Gamma's death really pissed me off. She was that baby's only natural family, and she got killed, and what for? Just so that baby can be raised by secondary characters who should've died in the Battle for Hilltop?

Not only did Adam lose his natural aunt, who loved him, but Gamma never really got to spend enough time with normal people after she saw the light, so to speak. She could have been a valuable new member in the community. If only she had managed to stab Beta, rather than just rip his mask, I could have accepted her sacrifice easier.

Earl's killing himself inside the house only acts a plot to develop the Judith character. This was done nicely. Those tears coming out of Judith eyes is excellent acting.
But in reality, Earl could have die more 'responsibly' as dying inside the house with the kids around is not a good idea even though he knew Judith can take care of a turned Earl. I think, him going outside to distract or lure away any nearby walkers is possibly a better way to die.

BTW, how did he kill himself? The nail did not seem to get through his head but it was just next to his head.

I think he tried to kill himself in a way that he wouldn’t turn, but didn’t quite manage it, and bled out/died of the bite.

I never warmed to his character but his final scenes with the kids were beautiful.

Tbh I was expecting more out of the Whisperer battle. Basically no one died aside from a few random Whisperer extras. This woulda been a great opportunity to kill off some of the minor characters who they’re probably going to end up forgetting about (cough, Kal, Eduardo, cough).

Regardless, I was very sad to see Mary and Earl go, though I was guessing the latter was probably going to die. Bittersweet deaths, they both died trying to protect children really. Super bummed we lost Mary so soon, I would have loved to see more of her with the survivors, especially as Alden finally started to open up and accept her you know?

Thora Birch acted better as a walker than any time she was alive. LMAO

I didn't like the way Earl was trying to kill himself. I don't think anyone, regardless of the situation, could off themselves by banging their head into a railway spike. And if he impaled himself enough to kill himself, why was his head beside the spike instead of on it?

Earl should've told Judith to take her gun or her sword and put him down. Then Judith would have to deal with the grief of killing a friend.

It also would've been a throwback to when Clem put Lee down in the finale of Telltale Games' TWD: S1.

Side note, RIP to the Hilltop Millwright, a former Savior who has been on the show since Season 6. He was among the few Hilltoppers seen reanimated as zombies in the aftermath, to be included in Alpha’s (or is it Beta now?) horde.

I thought she did ok in the role. Actors have to go with what's written for them. However I couldn't understand why she was still wearing those same gross whisperer clothes.

I was sorry to see Gamma go. At least she saved her nephew in the process.
