So last Sunday I watched the episode "Walk With Us".

What I liked about it:

1. The Battle of Hilltop: Decent battle scene. A lot better that the embarrassing battle of Alexandria in the season 7 finale.

2. Earl: I liked how the bitten Earl had the courage to put himself down in such a gruesome way (spike through the head) just to protect the children.

3. Carol and Eugene: I liked that these two had a moment to talk.

4. Judith: I liked how she reacted to Earl's death. I still miss Carl, however.

5. Alpha: She was a great villain.

6. Negan and Alpha: The scene played a lot better here than in the comic.

What I didn't like about it:

1. Gamma/Mary's Death: I hate that she was killed. She was baby Adam's lone surviving family member, but she was killed off. Why? So the group's secondary characters have a reason to stick around?

2. The Whisperers: I swear they are worthless in a fight. Imperial Stormtroopers have more dignity.

3. Magna: I would've preferred if she'd been an actual walker.

4. Alden and Kelly: I wish they died in the battle or were killed by Beta.

5. Carol: It should've been Michonne who let Negan out of his cell as gratitude for saving Judith in that snow storm.

Good episode. I gave it a "Steady Walking".

 

During that whole scene where they showed them walking I kept looking at the bat Negan had swung over his shoulder. I thought they were going to have him "Lucille" her before they got to the cabin.

 

That wouldn’t have left much to show for the kill though, in the form of evidence...

I bet that head is going on a spike.

 

OMG THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

First thing I thought. They HAVE to do that.

Whole episode was great. Choppy, but great. Those last couple of scenes, though. Almost as good as the 'Eugene causing the guns to backfire', and that was my best moment ever.

So good to see Carol hasn't lost it again, and is keeping her hand in. Even though I was hoping for a 'Carol cuts her hair and goes for the kill' episode.

So sorry there wasn't a 'Talking', but given the circumstances. Really wanted them to talk about this episode.

 

I believe Negan purposely tied her up in a sloppy fashion.

 

I feel the same. The minute I saw them walk towards the cabin I said to myself "Lydia's not in there, she's in a different one" and I would have bet my life on it, still I was on the edge of my seat and was holding my breath the entire time.

 

Negan slicing Alpha's throat mirrored what Rick did to him.

 

I thought about that too.
