Yeah. Thought the "you are the weapon" angle was a little cheesy

I have a feeling the war she’s getting to wage, has something to do with the guys from last week. I wonder if they are a part of the helicopter (beyond) group in the early stages.

I was starting to think that maybe daniel was faking and that he was playing the long game. Thought it would go on a little longer

Well, they managed to produce 2 episodes in a row that were an improvement over S5, although the bar for that is low enough that they could have accomplished the same thing even if they replaced all the actors with clay animation. Not as many absurdities as 601 but still a few. The technicality of the way the walkers pulled the survivors under the door in rapid fashion is not how walkers work. That and a handful of other things continue to tell me that the showrunners just don't completely get the universe.

Having said that, there were some things I liked about this episode. The pacing, the [re?]development of Strand, and I even found Salazar's lobotomy to be somewhat interesting even if a bit campy. Can't exactly call it a 'solid' episode, but things are going better than I had figured. I'll give it a 7.6, which is somewhat generous as an acknowledgement that the creators did manage to [so far] get us out of the disasterous rut that was the last 2 years.

He just knew he couldn't trust Strand.

Not-Morgan and Daniel is an interesting team.

I liked the episode a lot. I think it's the best we've seen this month, better than the TWD finale. They even managed to make the zombies a threat, and didn't need 100 000 of them. If only the main villain wasn't so yuck.

    7.5/10

I thought the whole thing would be terrible, but as of now, I'm happy with the season. Let's hope they don't pull a season 4 on us and give us half a year of good stuff, and then give us back to back to back of pure shit.

I thought this was a meh episode. I just didn’t care for the whole “weapon in a locker, protected by walkers” scene. And the weapon turns out to be Strand getting a promotion?
    Nope, didn’t buy it.

I did like the surprise end though. That was one thing the q & a spoiler didn’t spoil. Daniels “condition” will come in handy.

The good: Strand is back to being his evil self in order to get them out of the situation they're trapped in. It's believable and works well with the story. Him using that Sanjay guy as walker bait was the darker turn we needed after all the hand holding last season.

I also like that Daniel was playing off the amnesia and then showed total awareness when he came into contact with Morgan. This would also be in character for him, since he probably still has lingering doubts on what Strand might do in this group.

The bad: Making them into an army is a silly plot. What are all these other dudes on horseback doing anyway? They already have a strong force. And why would you trust strangers who you forced into your camp to become this army?

The ugly: The villain. This is what keeps the season from being decent. She's terrible. I can't believe anyone would follow her if she was a manager at Walmart, let alone a post apocalypse world. This role would be better suited for a Madison type. And what's with her sister, who looks like she could be her daughter?

They have the framework for what could be an interesting season. But I can't get past this Virginia character.
