We donate to lots of things, and I personally like most donations to be one-time donations and not recurring ones. In my experience MOST charities have a box that says "one time", "monthly", "yearly" etc, even KUSC does that. It wouldn't surprise me if some people got burned by that, but at the end of the day these are adults that are making these donations and they need to look at the fine print (or complain if they don't).

Hee hee, I looked up the DNC and found that the default on donations to them is "recurring, yearly until told to stop", so I don't see how Trump doing the same thing charities, a radio station, and the Democratic National Committee are doing makes them fine and him somehow worse than Hitler.

What they were pointing out is that the option was drowned out by bold print around it. When the issue was raised, not only was it not fixed but appeared to be emphasized by increasing the bold around it. I agree people need to read what they are agreeing too but that shouldn’t give a pass to someone who is intentionally hiding the recurring option or the double payment option( i added and edit to my OP where there is a second prechecked box that doubles your donation. Does Dnc have “money bomb” prechecked box?

Also default yearly payments and monthly payments are a little different. If you get bit, you gave almost a year to fix it. Some of these people had to cancel their cards because they couldn’t get it resolved fast enough.

I agree if he was deliberately hiding the recurring box, that's a bad thing.

I kind of disagree about the monthly vs. yearly thing. If I saw my next month's statement and there was a donation on it I'd know what happened and to stop it. A year later I wouldn't be looking for a charge and wouldn't necessarily think it was an error. I don't see how someone would lose their house over it as long as they actually LOOK at their bill every month. The next month it was billed the person should call the credit card company's fraud number, say they didn't make that request, ask for the charge to be refunded, and have charges stopped from that payee in the future. How can that not be fast enough?

I know some things are tricky, and deliberately so.

This is still one of my favorite gifs.

He’d say they loved him, sure, but he would never admit to being one himself.

Yeah, but Mickey Mouse knows enough to keep quiet, not whine about politics and how the election was stolen from him.

I’m not surprised there either as I’m convinced half of your posts are “made up”, LOL. I said IF he came to my house he would be welcome as would you. Can I expect both of you together? I’m Italian, I want to make sure I have enough food. ;):p

Actually, ALL of my posts are "made up". I think that original posts are worth something and don't plagiarize my posts from others.

And you know, my post on Cuomo on this thread was in reference to the content of your post here ;). And sure, I'd be happy to show up with Cuomo for a tasty Italian meal - if you could seat him on the other side of the table.

Remember this is Trump, though. He's probably boycotting "Coke", not "Diet Coke".
