It would have to be inside until they can create a magnetic field. Even if they generate oxygen, without s magnetic field it wont trap the gases needed for an atmosphere.

Yes, I meant inside of some structure, not making an atmosphere for the planet. Still, if you have a big enough structure and power one could eventually make a self-sustaining ecosystem within it. I'd really like to see that.

On more space news NASA is using SpaceX to send astronauts to the international space station. I never thought I'd see the day NASA would basically hire a taxi from a private company, but here we are. Maybe it IS possible to set up a Mars base.

It was an awesome launch at dawn. I didn’t want to go outside so early, as it’s my day off, but I did watch it from my bedroom window.
Then I went back to bed.

You're lucky being so close to Cape Canaveral! When I was in high school my father took us to see the space shuttle land at Edwards Air Force Base in So. Cal. They had a couple of fighter escorts that looked like toys compared to the bulk of the shuttle. It must be nice to have that so close one can see these flights on a regular basis!

I would hope so cause I’d never peg you to be stupid. OTOH if P’Lod is as smexy as the fish man in The Shape of Water one could understand the dalliance. ;) lol

Branson wanted to ferry astronauts to the space station in his Virgin space craft. Didn’t pan out. I don’t know if it was costs or what.

I love watching all the launches. My girls and I went up there Easter Sunday because it wasn’t going to be packed. They have a shuttle launch simulation in the Atlantis building that was so cool.
And the actual Atlantis shuttle is on display there.

I'm all for paying respects to the dear departed, but really? LOL, I thought the guy that turned his relatives' spine in to a guitar was creepy, but sincere. This just seems odd.

    "
John Hinkle Sr. never bowled a perfect game while he was alive.

His son changed that last week when he scored a perfect 300 using a bowling ball with John Hinkle Sr.’s ashes inside.

"I had tears in my eyes trying to throw the last two balls of that game," John Jr., 38, of Peoria, Illinois, told Fox News.

"It was hard for me to hold it together because I was so close to doing what I set out to do and all my emotions were really hitting me, trying to throw the ball," he said. "That last ball I threw, I had no idea where it went. I just threw it and it struck.""

In looking at that first picture of him, I bet he's GREAT at playing the piano. I'm sure she'd appreciate that.

I don't know if he was "Shortpaul" or some other type of troll clone, but I banned this "Honda" guy and removed all of his posts/threads from public view.

    1. Real gay people don't look for every opportunity they can find to make posts about liking other dudes and giving "handys" to their partners. Although as a man who enjoys a good "handy", that did make me chuckle a bit.

    2. I felt like he was looking to get a rise out of other female members with the all the quasi-sexist and overtly sexist nicknames.... Sister, toots, honey, babe, etc. He did steer clear of "sugar tits" though, but that one was only a matter of time. ;-)
