I wouldn't watch it, but my DVR is set to record the old episodes, so I got the new one, too. I don't know if my recording it counts as a viewer in the ratings. I just deleted it. The ratings were lower than they hoped, and viewers were mostly negative. I think it was wise that the old crew officially wished it well and then didn't comment on how it's doing today. It can fail all by itself and the three come out of it as decent, well-mannered guys.

This morning I got to see "James May and two other blokes" discover the true source of the Nile. Loved it SO MUCH!

I am all caught up with everything that is available on On Demand, but I have only seen one-fourth of what is out there, so reruns are exciting for me. :)

The Finder. Of course, I knew it was going to be cancelled. Especially when things stopped making sense after the 4th episode.

YAY! Chris Evans just quit new Top Gear. I didn't know he was going to crash and burn, but it serves the BBC right for ripping the soul out of my beloved old Top Gear.

Some of mine were cancelled a long time ago, but...

Early Edition (with Kyle Chandler) It was the story of a guy in New York who mysteriously gets the newspaper delivered to his apartment a day early...so he gets all of the news 24 hrs ahead of time.

Pushing Daisies (with Lee Pace) A whimsical, quirky story of a guy who can't physically touch anyone, or they will die.

Moonlighting (with Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd) Story of a rich woman who loses her entire fortune and teams up with an off-the-wall private investigator.

The Glades (with Matt Passmore) This last one really got me upset, because I was watching it via Netflix, and after watching all of the episodes available, waited for Netflix to update with new ones. The last show I watched was a huge cliffhanger, and after a couple of months of waiting I decided to Google the show and find out when it would be airing again, only to discover that the network had cancelled it. So it was left hanging, without any closure.

Sorry to bump an old thread but this is a goodie and I am sure there will be other newbies who would like to add to it as well as myself.

#1 most favourite cancelled show is definitely Firefly. This was such an awesome show with great characters. There is so much more the could have done with them. I will forever mourn its loss - and content myself by playing with my Firefly action figures.

Stargate Atlantis I loved the cast of this show and would like to have seen another couple of seasons.

Survivors The UK version about a virus that kills 90% of the worlds population. The show was just getting good and then, balm. Discontinued. Grrr.

Dirty Sexy Money This was a great show with interesting characters. Donald Sutherland was awesome, as was Peter Krause

Breakout Kings I just decided I really liked this show and then it was pulled. Who decides these things???

Revolution- I was intrigued so I gave it a chance. I was beginning to regret it because the show sucked at first. However I really liked the concept so I stuck it out. Then the latter half of season one started to get pretty good and then Season 2 started to really get good. By that time they already decided to cancel the show when the random sub-plots started to coalesce and make thing really interesting.

V- The re-imaged series from 2010 or whenever it was. I grew up watching the original 80s mini-series and the show, so I was really looking forward to this new one. I thought it was really good but half of the cast were horrible actors or just not interesting. I think that's why it failed.

Banshee is the show that I miss the most. It was on Showtime, which is why I feel that no one has ever heard of it. I mean hell, we had the channel free for a month, and that's when I started watching the show. I chased it for several seasons on various different venues (Amazon and Vudu) after that.

Definitely miss Top Gear on BBC. The new one on Amazon is OK, but in their efforts to avoid copyright infringements they've lost some of the funniest bits of the show.

I also wish the Killing hadn't been cancelled. The show got a proper resolution after it was revived on Netflix, but I would have watched another season.

"Banshee" was actually on Cinemax -- the home of excellent underwatched shows. "The Knick" and "Quarry" are also very much worth checking out on that channel. Strangely, the status of both these shows appear to be in limbo. If they had a decent audience, news outlets may bother to check in to see whats going on with their production.

"The Killing" seemed to have hit its stride after they dragged out the first murder, but unfortunately the audience got pissed and gave up after the season 1 cliffhanger (hmm i guess AMC didn't learn their lesson). Too bad, I really loved the atmosphere and the rappaport between Linden and Holder.

As an add on to Quarry being a sadly underwatched show, they had one of the BEST single long takes in the history of television. Check out this 9 freaking minute unbroken shot with explosions, people getting shot, burned alive, all kinds of crazy elements going on. The ending is a bit disturbing and greatly contributed to the main character's PTSD. By the way, the scene isn't a spoiler as it is referred to many times in the pilot.

You're right, Banshee was on Cinemax. I now remember being somewhat surprised be the sex scenes. I really liked the show though. At least it got something of a resolution.

I didn't mind the season 1 cliffhanger of the Killing, but maybe I'm just used to that sort of thing :p.

I'm running out of things to watch lately, so I'll check out the other shows. Thanks for the recommendations.

    Arrested Development -

One of the best TV shows ever made. It had it's original run for 3 seasons and unfortunately no one seemed to notice it.

Then Netflix brought it back for one season, it was good and all, but it wasn't the same. A lot of the actors had other commitments but they loved doing that show so much, they wanted to do another season.

Unfortunately that left us fans with a sense of blah. There were a lot of episodes (with the Netflix incarnation) where they would only feature 2 cast members at a time and maybe do some limited scenes with the others. Still funny but it was sort of watered down. Not the same.

Did anyone watch this show Dead Like Me? lol. I think it ran for like one or two seasons, but I never watched it until maybe 2009 when i randomly started watching it on Netflix...this was back when Netflix was pretty new at their streaming service. Anyway, I got all into it and then realized it was over. I think Netflix should resurrect it now.

Pushing Daisies. Killed off by the last writers' strike.

Netflix gets a pass on some of their lesser entries because they just brought back Mystery Science Theater 3000, which is one that I wish had never been cancelled.

Okay I grant you that. Such a great show. That show helped me graduate from college. Seriously. I'd put off my classwork assignments until the last minute and they would always play 2 back to back episodes in the late night hours, or I'd watch a vcr recording of it to pass the time while doing homework.

I've never seen the show, didn't even know it was a show, but I read a book a few years ago that this seems to be based upon. I really enjoyed the book.

It seems like a lot of my favorite shows that were cancelled are now getting new seasons. As I mentioned previously, they've already brought MST3K back in a very successful way, and in a month or so I also have the premiere of season three of Twin Peaks. Can't wait!
