One very small thing I was disappointed in was not seeing any of our long term ASZ background characters that have been around since S5/6. This would have been a perfect opportunity to fill the meeting with a few of them. Some of them are still around, I saw a couple in 1001, but for some reason not here, despite all the Alexandria scenes. It is a nice touch for continuity.

However, I did spot a few familiar faces that have been around for awhile, like Quan who we first saw in S7 as a savior, and moved to Hilltop by S9 and taking the job of moonshine distiller, and now I guess lives at ASZ. He was standing in the crowd outside while Gabe talked to them about "guarding the gate from the northern wave".

 

That crossed my mind as well, although the person had a different mask and clothes as that girl. And Angela said on talking dead that it was "not someone we know". It DID however, appear to be the same whisperer that walked up to Carol while she was hanging upside down. Looked like same mask and sweatshirt. So Carol really did see it.

On TTD Angela did confirm that it was Carol who shot the whisperer and that it will have some consequences in the future and that it begs the question of how the whisperers might not be honoring their own rule about boundaries because the gymnasium was on the community side. So my feeling is that its just going to show us that the whisperers are cheating.
