Well 10.1 went to 13.3 after the DVR viewings within a few days we were counted.

I'll go with 10.4 and 13.6 after the DVR counting.

Not sure if I want that prize though.

 

Whoever wins that vacation to a bowling alley in a strip mall in the outer reaches of the Toronto suburbs is in for a great time! I think there might be a convenience store and a doughnut shop there, too!

Im going to play,,,I'm going to guess at 11.4 million....on account that peeps would have been expecting similarities to the Original and didnt get it......but, since i live on the suburbs of Toronto, and i dont bowl (EVER).....I would hope another prize be awarded that involves something more then coffee and donuts and ugly shoes.

Ratings normally drop a bit after the premiere because not everyone watches the entire season. So I am going to go with 8. I don't think too many TWD fans will allow one slow episode to turn them off from the series so I think all this reaction to the ratings slipping because the premiere didn't have a lot of action is a bit exaggerated. If the first three or four episodes were slow paced then I could see people start tuning out because of it but not just because of one.

I'll say 7.75. Lotta viewers felt bored and disappointed with the pilot

 

So according to EW the ratings for last night fell to 8.2 mil...I went with 8.62 mil. This is the closest I have ever been in guessing the ratings - and just like the title of last nights episode "So Close Yet So Far"

Honestly, not too bad of a dip considering most shows usually fall a bit for the second episode AND it was up against the VMAs, although for the life of me I cannot understand why that crap is still relevant (of course my old-ish age and aversion to ignorant behavior may have something to do with my inability to see the lure of said crap).

These are great ratings and we will definitely be seeing a season 3,4, and 5 at this rate. I imagine it will probably level out somewhere around 7 and then climb back up a bit for the season finale.

Also wouldn't surprise me if this show grows year to year as well.

 

Very good numbers. In recent seasons TWD usually loses 2-3 million in audience after a season or midseason premiere, so FTWD fell within those parameters. If it had been a significant drop beyond that range then it might have indicated a problem for the series. And since these were generally seen as the "slower" episodes (not my criticism but the concern of others) they are in a good spot as hell starts to break loose in the weeks to come.
