LOL, Obama didn't make some big proactive pandemic plan, he used the template President Bush made! I'm pretty sure he even said so, and I'm sure I remember his staff saying so.

I've already said I don't think Trump should have cut the CDC's budget - assuming the CDC was going to use the money on preventing and controlling contagious disease. I agree with Trump that the CDC should NOT be given money if they were going to use it to fight "racism" and "obesity". There are other agencies already funded to to that.

Umm... No one said Biden needed to restock during the pandemic. And also, at this point it's looking like this disease is never going away. Thank the Chinese government for creating "the potentially lethal common cold".

I have no problem giving Dubya credit for coming up with a plan. I do give credit to Obama for implementing a plan , no mater who came up with it. trump deserves FULL credit for scrapping that plan that a Republican came up with because a democrat was attached to it. trump put us at risk for petty reasons and it backfired spectacularly. He demanded to be in charge. Well that means he is responsible for HIS decisions. He is going to demand that he be put back in charge. He won’t want to be accountable for his actions then either. He has made that abundantly clear.

Out of curiosity, who at this point do you think will be running on the Repub ticket next election, and do you think Biden will try for another term?

Unless Biden keels over, i see him running again. Unless trump keels over, i see him running again. Now, i don’t know if Biden will have as much support from Democrats given his age and i don’t think trump will have as much support from center leaning Republicans but it will boil down to who the voters fear getting elected more. Republicans in several states are making it harder to vote. There was no fraud significant enough to swing the election and there was no more fraud than any other election. Republican strategy is fewer overall votes means smaller margin to overcome. Mail in votes were overwhelmingly Democrat. They are targeting were they got their asses handed to them.

I’m not. I’m blaming Trump for giving what little we had, to China, so he could make a deal with them.

Think about what you said, in your 1st paragraph.
Obama followed a template that Bush came up with.
Now think about what Donald did.
He not only threw out Obama’s playbook, but Bush’s template plan.

I guess he wanted to give ingesting disinfectant a try.

Trump was initially told there was no person to person spread, which would mean using a flu template wouldn't be appropriate. Once he knew it was infectious he started operation warp speed, getting companies to manufacture respirators, etc.

Fair enough. That's an easy call to make in hindsight, though. At the time when China had who knows how many people dying and there were no infections here? The decision might not have been so straightforward.

Trump told Bob Woodward he knew in February that COVID-19 was 'deadly stuff' but wanted to 'play it down'

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/do...odward-he-knew-february-covid-19-was-n1239658

Trump knew exactly what it was almost from the beginning. So even when he was telling you to inject bleach into your lungs and shoot UV light up your ass, he knew.

LOL! So you believe that every word out of Trump's mouth is either an exaggeration or an outright lie EXCEPT the one time he's talking to Woodward and saying what you want to hear? Yeah, I'll pass on the Kool Aid, thanks.

So you thought Congress worked for the American people? Pelosi is going to have U.S. citizens ARRESTED for not wearing a mask in the Capitol buildings, but members of Congress who perform the same behavior will only get reported!

And what, specifically are they going to be arrested FOR? Aren't you supposed to actually be accused of breaking a law to be arrested by the police?

WHAT ever happened to "equal under the law"? Time for Pelosi to go.

    "
U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) were ordered to start arresting visitors and staff who refuse to wear a mask on the House side of the Capitol complex starting Thursday, according to a police memo issued by new USCP Chief Thomas Manger that was obtained by a member of Congress.

Police were also advised not to arrest members of Congress for failing to wear masks but to report the lawmakers' noncompliance to the House sergent-at-arms, the memo says."

It most often IS when he’s “performing” for the American People. It’s not the first time that it’s been reported that he said something different in “private” than he said in public.

So wait, you believe Trump lies every time he opens his mouth, but at the same time think he did a great job and was somehow maligned?

How does that work? And what flavor Kool-Aid did you drink?

i’d equate this with getting a ticket. A misdemeanor no doubt but arresting the person deliberately disobeying the rules probably allows for officers to escort their germy arses off the premises.

Maybe a non-Trump example will help you understand my pov. Say you go to a car dealer and the salesman lies about literally everything, BUT the car you get is the one you want and since it's new, works just fine. Do the salesman's lies matter? No, not really.

Same thing here. Trump lies about himself like a cheap rug, even when he doesn't have to, or when it is against his best interests to do so, *however*, the policies he put in place were overall good for the country which to me is much more important.

    Easy peasy.

An arrest record can be a serious thing if you are applying for a security clearance, etc. That's a pretty big deal. It's an even BIGGER deal that members of Congress are being exempted from her "arrest U.S. citizens" policy. On what grounds are they being placed above the law?

A broken clock is right twice a day. A lying prick can tell the truth one in a while. Did he lie to Woodward about covid twice or the entire world 1,000 times. Given the evidence, he is a broken clock.

So your saying congresspersons should be arrested for non compliance? I agree but a large number of Republicans would miss roll call.

You know what's fun? Tell that "broken clock" idiom to a kid and see what kind of look you get. To some of the younger generation that were raised with digital timepieces you have to explain it to them.

Absolutely. If you're passing a "law" that people will be arrested for if they don't comply with the people who pass the law should have to live with it as well.
