Just watched. I like him more and more. He’s a well educated and knowledgeable man. I’ll be paying attention to him a lot in these early stages.

@Dnae He pronounced his own last name as "boot-a-judge" when he was a guest on some talk show. That's how I know. You owe me a 'thank you' or you will be cursed. Just saying.

Even in that video though he was remarkably free of actual policy. Apparently on purpose. Instead he wants to push 'freedom'? Yeah, I'm gonna need some specifics. Just because Republicans (according to him) are satisfied with broad categories and nothing more doesn't mean it's going to fly with me. How can he win a debate if he's not going to state his platform?

Well he mentioned that it’s on purpose for now. So I’m holding out hope for those policies soon. Lol

    ORRRRRRRRR.........
I think the boot-edge-edge sounds closer to the pronunciation Mayor Pete uses when he says his last name

And now I have this ear worm.....

There will be a Green Party candidate because Jill Stein has her own con game going on. But unless the nominee is Sanders, or Warren (or Inslee who is running primarily on climate) I don't think the people on the far left will believe that the nominee will implement any of that into action because they see them as "establishment" politicians. Even with Warren though, there was a poll out yesterday showing 25% of the Sanders people would vote for Trump over her. So it shows you at least 1/4 of the Sanders appeal isn't based on policy.

I like the "Boot-Edge-Edge" school of thought, but like you say, you're inadvertently chopping the name up into 3 different words. Whereas if you go with my recommended criminal act of booting a judge, it's not only fun and dangerous, but it rolls off the tongue pretty well.

Do not resist me on this! You WILL comply.

Here is a cheat sheet of those who are running or may decide to do so.
    https://amp.theatlantic.com/amp/article/582598/

From what I have seen, Warren and Harris are the only 2 democratic candidates who have a wide range of talking points. That will be good at the debates.
I still think the Republican Party is going to wait until September to announce the candidate/s who could give Trump a run for the seat. It gives him less time to name call them on twitter, and knock them out early.

    The truth is out there

Obama was real light on details too. (Hope) I think candidates always promise the moon but reality sets in when they take office. He did well considering what he had to work with. If a candidate can show a strong direction, thats more important than details he/she wouldn’t be able to follow through on anyway. There is a lot going on that candidates are not privy to. Policy ideas always change once they get the details.
P.S. unless he gets elected, I’m not going bother learning to say his name correctly. He’s just Bootyguy.

Can you give me a link to that? That's shocking. I don't believe it until I see it. Thanks.

Here is what I was able to find for 5 days ago for how Democratic voters might migrate if their first choice was out (interactive section about midway down). I didn't check every single candidate, but I didn't see Trump anywhere.

I know this is from January, but still. Ninety-one percent of Democrats polled at that time would definitely not vote for Trump.

The only Democrat I know who is voting for Trump is an emigre from Siberia who suffered true starvation under a socialist regime. She loves Trump's keep-'em-out policy at the border because she fears the country being overrun by Muslims, whom she believes will not assimilate. She is absolutely frantic to convince people to vote for Trump because she treasures capitalism. Um, doubt she will sway one person, but her level of anxiety is wrenching to see.

There is no live TV in their house, but they rent documentaries to watch on their TV set and have computers. Even her husband, also from Russia, gives her the Democratic party perspective, but her mind is made up.

(I would pay for them to have a cable connection, but they chose not to have it--it's not a financial thing.)
