i must say as someone whose least favorite character is Carol, i think she did a wonderful job this episode. she looked extra tired and depressed and she was acting her booty off. sad we didn't get to see how Lizzie bullied Mika into her death (although that might have made me cry.. i was close), yet glad that Lizzie's gone 'cause that hoee craay. and she woulda murdered Judith too if Carol & Ty showed up a second later! i just couldn't believe the way she was flipping out about the walkers being killed! if i was Mika i would've mashed her hand in the railroad track zombie's mouth lol.

 

Joe probably smacks him (in the promo) when he finds out he killed that Beth hater.

Guys, I cried. A lot. That is all I can even say. Holy shit that was powerful.

Carol needs a hug.

What a beautifully done, disturbing episode. Another benchmark for this series imho. The Grove illustrated poignantly that despite finding relative safety, the world keeps getting darker... and psychologically changes everyone.

 

Take a second look, she's on Ty's back.

 

When they first arrive at the grove, you see the graves of the children who used to live there(one of the grave markers has the bronze baby shoes on it)

 

Yup, never underestimate a well constructed papoose.

 

Wow! what an impact the ending had, the two stepping out of the woods and back on the tracks. The whole episode involved that lil group getting 'off track' and they'll never be the same again. Powerful.

 

So so glad Lizzie is gone. Mika, eh, well she really was not somebody I really watched her story line and she is just collateral damage in my mind, but so happy Lizzie is gone. Now, to get rid of Beth for real, and I will be happy.

 

It really wasn't that impactful to me, I just kept clapping, yay, lizzie is gone. But, glad Carol confessed, but I think that Tyrese will come back to this confession in the future, just for now he needs Carol. We shall see.

 

It is funny how 3x14 and 4x14 both feature the ultra hot burned walkers.
