No way; that would have cheapened and minimized the emotion behind it all. In the comic; Rick has him held down on a picnic table, and he then proceeds to dismember him; like they do to people on the butcher's table at Terminus.

Since they didn't go that route; they still wanted to give Rick, and us the satisfaction of satisfying vengeance, and allowing Rick to let out a little pent up frustration.

Agreed. I noticed that about Chad too; I can always tells what going on in his mind by looking at his facial expressions.

Don't forget Seth Gilliam though; I thought his performance was top notch.

I'm kinda sorta sad Gareth died.
It would have been nice to see how his character development could have turned out if he had joined Rick's group.
( Although Rick obviously wouldn't have allowed that...i just wanted to see how Gareth could have possibly turned out)

A bloodthirsty Rick would at least cause some tension within the group, which has been wholly vacant for seasons now.

I have a question, in the trailer it had Gareth talking to someone saying "We will go to DC and we will end this thing".
Obviously that can't happen now, any noted writing changes?

That was just a red herring. Some deceptive editing tricks used in the SDCC trailer to throw us of course. The actual dialogue used in that quote about "join us; and we will go to D.C. and cure this thing"; is actually taken from two separate bits of dialogue. The "join us" part comes from Gareth telling Bob that; "It wasn't a trap. It was going to be a choice; you either join us, or feed us". And the D.C. bit is from when he's being all proud and arrogant and mocking Bob and his hopeful ideals about fixing the world and "going back".

They had to do that too because once scenes were shown with the group outside of Terminus in trailers everyone can figure out the result.

Hi peeps! Long time lurker, first time poster here.

I've been binge watching the last 5 seasons, after my son finally convinced me to watch the very first episode. Bad mistake.... Now I'm hooked!

Sorry for bumping what is probably a pretty old thread for most, but just wanted to say firstly, how much I'm enjoying reading all the posts here on the forum.

Secondly, I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 2 episodes! Boy, what a roller-coaster of emotions. Loving seeing Ty and Carol characters develop, Carol is one Kick-ass biatch!

Trying to cram in as many episodes as quickly as possible, hopefully be up to speed soon enough, and can join in with the current topics.

    Cheers JW.
