Like every other episode, TOO many commercials. The air time keeps decreasing. Last week was down to just about 42 minutes. :zombies_confused:

"Consumed" is the title? Sounds more like an appropriate title for the episode that Bob's leg got consumed. (Please don't tell me that meet Beth ate really wasn't Peruvian guinea pig)

I was thinking "consumed" is referring to the symbolism of fire and flames that are supposed to have a significant role in this episode.

I can see Carol still being consumed by what happened with Lizzie and Mika and the burden of keeping it a secret despite that she wants to forget everything.

I'm not sure what Daryl is consumed by. Perhaps rescuing Beth? I don't think he ever forgave himself for losing the car with the cross after the first time he tried to follow it. I can see it's very important to him since Beth was the one who helped him to believe in hope again. I'm saying all this in the most non-shippy way because my interpretation is he and Beth are buddies/friends.

It's a Carol/Daryl episode, a shitty attempt at playing along to the shipping drama. This could have been handled much better.

They could be attempting to bring Carylers and Bethylers together, with Carol helping to rescue Beth and all.

That scene were Carol started breathing fire and destroyed the hospital was cool but it wasn't realistic at all.

To be fair, shipping is a fan thing, and it's nothing new considering lots of other television shows have shippers and pairings. I don't really think shipping is a bad thing because my perception of it is that people have the free will to interpret two characters' relationships however they like. Whatever is written in the episode is what the writers want the audience to see, but it's up the viewers whether they want to interpret certain actions or conversations between the two characters to be romance or friendship. Especially thinking of how Carol and Daryl obviously have a close bond and how the writers have thrown things out there that make their relationship with each other somewhat ambiguous and confuse some viewers about whether they are just platonic friends or there's some unspoken romantic feelings going on. I think the same could be argued for Beth and Daryl.
