I never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually beginning to like Rosita. Her past couple of episodes have shown some of her personality and allowed her to be useful, and I've enjoyed that. Serratos isn't a particularly strong actress (not the worst though) but she has a certain natural warmth and sweetness that suits Rosita so well.

Yeah I like that Glenn invited her to be a part of his group and team, so as she was not relying on Abraham as she was before. I liked that both he and Tara gave her a little pep up complimenting her on her abilities to fish/clean and make the water filter etc. It was sweet that they were being supportive and encouraging when she was obviously reeling from a lot of different things at that point.

Such a random nerdy thing to do and say - I kinda love it! No wonder her and Eugene get along so well! lol!

Loved this whole episode; Abraham seems to be doing what I was hoping he would - Winning a fanbase despite the misconceptions about him when he first appeared. His outer veneer is beginning to wear and the human being underneath is showing. I was laughing with my fiancé tonight about how all everyone could say about Abraham when he appeared was that he was too much like an unbelievable action hero in the story and just too over the top, while Daryl has done everything exactly like that since day 1 (Using a zombie as a shield, tearing a head off to use as a bludgeon, reloading that crossbow in record time, ect...). Abraham has done nothing close to the insane stuff Daryl has always done, but no one ever questions the almighty Dixon.

Beth's "talk" with Carol sent chills up my spine. Was I the only one who found her "I just wanted to tell you I was here." line to be Ominous? As if Beth is aware that she will likely not be around by the time Carol wakes up. After all that she said, the only thing I took from that was "Goodbye." Made me tear up a bit, even though I am aware that there is no certainty on anyone's fate at this point. Even if seen on set is no promise of safety, and even if not present could be filming elsewhere. Love this seasons lid they have on leaks.

    1. New Bob is hot.

    2. Tara is growing on me, I mean it has taken her about a season to show any worth but she is bringing a nice light heartedness right now to the show that is badly needed.

I'm probably slinking into insomnia craziness, but does that sound like a euphemism to anyone else? lol...

"Tara! Stop playing with your YoYo and help us with collecting the firewood!"

Ha, I guess you could say they're are like the yo-yo, they think they are going somewhere, doing something, only to be jerked back by a short rope, over and over.
I think out of all the new characters I'm liking Tara the best. She went from blah to ahhh! So glad to see a nice personality showing thru, I just hope they aren't making us like her to off her in the SF.

I loved the "bubbling zombie fondue" of napalmed bodies, or the "street walkers," as Chris Hardwick called them. It was such a neat effect. I also like it when the group randomly comes across a grisly scene that tells a story. In this case, the water tower had the words "evac here" painted on it, indicating that a group of people had gathered there hoping to be saved and then, sadly, got firebombed.

Touching moment between Sasha and Big Bro Tyreese:

Also touching to hear Beth talking to Carol and doing everything she could to treat her and make sure she survives!

It was sweet that Maggie shielded Eugene from the harsh sunlight, too:

Theme: humanity is worth the vulnerability

I appreciate that most of the characters followed this theme throughout the episode. It starts and ends with Sasha and showed just how vulnerable human traits like empathy can make you. But it also showed with the other characters that it's that humanity that makes life worth living. Little moments like Daryl and Tyreese worrying about Sasha before they head off to ATL, Michonne and Rick talking about owing Carol, Tara forgiving Eugene, Glenn offering Rosita a new purpose... all these things can put them at risk. Worry makes you sloppy. Owing someone can obligate you into a dangerous situation. Forgiving and hope can put you at risk for being fooled again. But the alternative is being a monster who kills without thought and forsakes personal connections.

On the other hand... I'm really into Machete Rick. This is my favorite version of him and I can't wait for him and Badass Carol for join forces.

Ive enjoyed Beths upbeat attitude as she plots and sneaks around, her mischievousness grin amuses me!

I also enjoy Tara, how it annoys the other characters when shes positive at the wrong times, like 'too soon tara too soon'

Like a few have already pointed out I really liked the scene where Carl was giving zombie-ganking lessons to Father Gabriel, while Michonne observed.

Technically, Carl is even younger than he appears (he should be around 10 now?) and to a kid 2 years in the ZA are more significant than what they are to a person. He was giving him tips the same way a normal kid would be teaching his younger brother to ride a bike.

Anyway, what I like most of all was that this episode focused on everyone and brought all the single storylines back together. I was never that crazy about the character centric episodes, because if you don't like that specific character the episode can be slow. I realized I'm too attached to Rick, Michonne, Carol and Daryl at this point and I really miss them when they're not in an episode. (I would have added Glenn & Maggie to that list up until last season but right now I'm not as fond of them as I used to be. I still prefer them over some of the other though).

So it was good to finally go back to the older format, with all the stories intertwined. I prefer it that way.

I agree with this, I do wish they could have done this format all throughout the season - the 3 bottle episodes in a row did not work this season.

I love how tenacious he was here:

It's so telling that he just does not want to loose anymore people, and he will not allow another "Gareth" to slip through the cracks and hurt another...

I loved that scene too. I started a thread on Rick, and how I think he is the one whose appearance is most realistic and how he looks like the one who has been affected the most by the ZA. This scene right here is what triggered my thread.

I have to say, Rosita's growing on me. I was pretty indifferent to her so far but between the fire engine knowledge and her attempt at trying to knock some sense into Abraham so he doesn't bake in the sun, I'm starting to like her.
