Hey, it could happen

 

Hey, I was wondering about parasites, too! (Um, on this show; not in general.)

I know the show explicitly ignores the cause, and thus implicitly many of the variables and consequences involved in transmission. Seems like they kinda have to, if they're going to show the level of gore they want to. If Rick isn't harmed by squeezing a zombie's head into pieces and having it splatter all over his face (now there's a facial you won't find in a porn flick), it's pretty clear anything goes except a direct bite. And direct bites can be played in so many ways, including the heart-breaking ones like Bob where you didn't know he had been bitten (or wouldn't have, if he hadn't walked off with that "I just got bit and no one knows" look) and the reveal packs a different punch b/c the group thought everyone was safe.

 

Right, that was before Rick had told anyone about everyone being infected... so Shane was trying to rationalize why they would be walkers without both marks.

 

I wonder if some of those Alexandria scenes are from 604, as the description for Thank You is about Rick and others trying to make it back to ASZ and dealing with the horde. There were some Morgan heavy ASZ scenes in there, maybe they are part of Morgan's bottle episode, flashing back and forth from present to past.

 

And stupid Tomas killed poor Big Tiny before we could see with him.

 

Yup. But really, we've seen zillions of times our survivors all but bathe in walker blood while covered in scratches.

Example: Michonne got shot by Merle, then cut a walker open and got covered in guts. If scratches infect people, she should've gotten infected there, but she didn't. Because they don't.

 

Question for comic readers is there or which character would be the guy that has Darryl tied up by the tree with a gun on him?

 

Just an after thot about those people that take Daryl as a hostage. I would love if this guy really is Dwight, as I don't want any other character already to take his arc, esp Daryl...
This may be out of left field but what if? What if these people are wolves, that escaped the attack, or possibly just a group watching Rick and Co let the herd out hence they build walker army's, and after their failed attempt to take Alexandria, they hatch a plan to take Daryl hostage. Use him as leverage; to either lead the herd back to Alexandria, or as leverage to get back into Alexandria? Hatch some plan that the wolves will leave em alone for a trade of weapons, or even to get back Bendict Samuels? When Derek goes to the gate in the books, and there is the line- little pig little pig, is it possible that Daryl will be their hostage?

I mean it's not all that crazy? Or maybe it is- but I think somewhow whoever these people are, are going to use Daryl as some sort of leverage.

 

Oh I see now- so that is crazy after all. I just pray to the lord above; Dear God, thank you for making a show like the walking dead. I ask that you please, please, do not let Daryl take Dwights story arc. I pray that you make Dwight his own character and not ruin it like you did with Andreas character, (which by the way was a complete failure), giving parts of her to Sasha. Please don't give parts of Dwight to anyone already on the show, esp Daryl- as I mentioned prior. If you can please let this happen; I won't have sex out of wedlock anymore, or cuss like a sailor, and eat 5 candy bars in a row when I am sad.

 

With some stretch of my imagination I would buy a zombie disease in real life there's no way it can be activated after you already die (zero brain activity, zero heart activity). That's plain science fiction.
