I was hoping Negan would burst into that scene and Lucille all of those damn choir singers

 

Negative – I thought Ezekiel’s introduction was a bit lackluster.

Maybe if you hadn’t seen the trailer and didn’t know of Shiva it might have been a great introduction but I thought his intro at the end of the S7 trailer was a lot better than having Morgan just blurt it out.

 

Totally agree, the trailer had a big introduction but the episode just had Morgan telling Carol everything so no surprises. I also didn't like how over the top Carol was when speaking to Ezekiel, she's a better actor than that ( Carol not Melissa ). Loved it apart from that though.

 

I thought that at first as well, then I realized she was deliberately going just a little over the top to make it more plausible for Ezekiel to see through the disguise.

 

That is a mean barb just because she was not quite as wired in this episode. She bats her eyes for a minute and people start taking bitter swings at her. I'm sure she will back in the rotation soon and not come across so wooden. Possibly a victim of The World Series cool down cycle.

 

I like the way that story line developed. I think Carol in more the Queen Deceiver.

 

I buy the zombies not the tiger.
