If there's one thing that's self-evident from this episode, it's that Daryl is the only one who should be the leader of this war. Everything he's doing is dead-on-balls accurate and unwavering.

 

He is the only one currently not being written like an idiot.

 

Daryl, Daryl, Daryl.

THIS is why people fell in love with your character from the start.

Bringing Morales back for that was just stupid, but it was necessary to show where Daryl's head is.

 

Yeah. You can be merciful when you have the advantage and the resources so that mercy can't come back to bite you. Take prisoners if you can removed them from the battlefield and imprison them without losing manpower or risking your home base.

But when you are outnumbered and outgunned, and you need every soldier and weapon you can get, you don't put yourself in a weaker position by taking responsibility for prisoners. You don't risk escape. It just makes no sense.
