I rated the episode a solid 9 also.

GAH hurry up Sunday 9ish pm central so I can finally talk about why I enjoyed the episode as much as I did
@Sebrebc and @Seventh_son I have 6 pages of notes containing what I loved about the episode LOL - that should give you guys a bit of hope for the episode. Of course as always my take is quite subjective and could prove to be quite the opposite of yours *shrugs*

Hmmm someone rated it a 10

I gave it a 9 in the poll. Above you state it is a 9. So, using old math, but shouldn't "9" then have 2 votes showing??????

FINALLY able to log into the forum. I can't believe the forum crapped out just one hour before the MSP!!!!!

Anyway, my previous rating of 9 remains unchanged. I loved this episode. I thought it was beautifully scored, great acting by all (yep even NR/DD gets a thumbs up from me), a nice mix of sad, witty, creepy, hopeful. The groundwork is now in place for what I believe will be an amazing 7 episodes.

Anyway, for those that care I have a novella of praise to bestow upon the episode in the praise thread. Grab a cup of coffee and sit back because after having one full week to think about the episode I have A LOT to say :)

    I loved it!

I'm giving it a 9, plus a bonus point because not only was I able to sit through a Negan-centric episode, but completely enjoyed it. His trek reminded me of the Governor's post-Woodbury wanderings. The relationship between he and Judith is a thing of beauty to watch. This little kid has totally got his number!

Rosita is pregnant. What? It's Saddiq's. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Smart Daryl. Very smart. Get the info you need by listening in on what two teenagers will tell each other when no adults are around. The man ain't no fool.

Whisperers just standing there. So creepy. These are the horror moments I crave.

Favorite line came from Eugene: "The living kind or original recipe?" Oh, Eugene...

A tight episode that, once again, flew by. Can't wait for next week!

It was a pretty good mid season premiere. Not mind blowing but no major complaints on it either. We knew it was leading up to Alpha's entry and I think that was done pretty well. I ranked it at 8.

    I gave it a 9.

I was worried the show would tank without Rick, but so far the show is still great. The whisperers are creepy AF!

Gave it an 8. It was all fine except for Judith, who really is too much of a smart ass for me. I didn't care much for Negan coming back on his own either, but we'll see...

Still very good. My fun got spoiled with the news of my favorite character leaving, but hey.... At least she's been there for a while.

I understand your pain after losing both of my favorites, Rick and Jesus.

Just remember, the pain doesn't go away, you just make room for it ;)

5.16 million viewers. A slight bump from 907 and 908. Still holding steady since Rick's departure.

I'd call that pretty good up against the Grammy Awards. AMC Premiere had it's share of early viewers too. Still others DVR.

5.16 is respectable. Hope the numbers keep rising!

Wasn't there a question if the number of viewers from AMC Premiere were being counted?

As always I am more anxious to see what the live +3 numbers will be since those numbers are more in line with how a great number of viewers now watch television

No, I don't think the Nielsen's count the Premiere viewers. Just the live TV viewings. And yeah L+3 are more interesting. And as Seventh_son pointed out, the Grammy's were on. I think the turnout was solid in relation to the rest of the season.
