This is a Korean drama/romance on Netflix right now, and is subtitled. It's about a woman who can see spirits and the trials she's put through. The first episode starts with her as a young girl, but transitions to her as an adult. It starts slowly, but the characters are fun and situations entertaining.

Without giving away too much, the story starts with the innocent elementary school-aged girl making a deal to free an imprisoned powerful spirit if he will come and protect her whenever she calls his name. They make the deal, but the spirit removes the memory of how to say his name from her mind! She therefore gets nothing from the deal and we next see her as an adult. Several things happen and she eventually can say his name again and call him, and he does protect her and is truly a very strong spirit. He doesn't like being at someone's beck and call though, and would like to eat her (even making a sauce to dip her in) but can't because of their pact. They develop a love/hate relationship and he gets further ensnared by magic to love her - but at the same time he still wants to kill her and be free, and she starts falling in love with him, until he tells her straighforwardly that his love for her is only because of the magic, and as soon as he can find a way to be rid of it, he'll kill and eat her. So... she is falling for him but is confused because he does really love her - but his feelings aren't real. Or are they? What to do? Anyway, if you want a show to watch during these covid days, it's pretty entertaining.

BTW, each episode is 90 minutes or so, and the thankfully rare special effects are cheesy, but it really is a fun show.
