When Lydia ate the apple given to her by Alpha, did anyone else take it as symbolism?

As in Eve when she took the apple "given" to her by the serpent in the Garden of Eden with Alpha being the serpent (in how she manipulates her daughter) and Lydia being Eve who was innocent of sin (as a child) but was then manipulated by her mother, the serpent to commit sin (by eating the apple given to her by her mom).

    Symbolism or coincidence?

Nice idea. But no. The whole scene was simply a retelling of a comic issue released back in early 2015.

That's great symbolism if that was the intention. It could very have been in the comic source material.

A lot of times an apple is simply an apple.

Or Robert Kirkman was being metaphorical in the source material.

    Kirkman doesn't think that deeply.
