That actually would have been a good easter egg if they had thought of it.

I guess this would make sense to me if, say, this was an event that was made up or didn't happen, but the storyline and the presentation of the character of Alpha would lead me to believe that this event certainly happened as opposed to other things that are in Lydia's past memories that are questionable. Maybe she had her arm on his throat and crushed his larynx (someone with a crushed larynx wouldn't instantly die. they would suffocate. It would likely last several minutes. Looked more like a broken neck which is even less believable). Maybe the child did not have a clear memory of the actual event. I just wish that they made it a little more believable that someone died in that fashion. It would have been very easy. I'm not swearing off the show or anything. Can't wait for next weeks episode. I just get frustrated that this was a clear case of lazy writing/directing OR the complete opposite scenario where they went out of their way to overcomplicate the story.

I don't think that alpha was ever abused. She is the abuser

I thought the way she killed him was a little silly. I am trying to believe a comment above, that it was just the recollection Lydia was fed and made to believe ...but I dunno.

Yes and I purposely think they didn't name it 28 Days Later because Greg Nicotero dislikes the running "zombies" in that movie (per his interview on I think it was called Masters of Horror) so that coulda been a "disrespectful" nod to that franchise.

You mean the way she killed her husband was silly? The stabbing in the neck part or killing him over standing in her way from taking Lydia and running?

@HungryZombie I have a very flatulent brain myself :) But I've been playing This War Of Mine (very late to that party). Every time it announces 'Day 28' I have a little shiver...
