As you know Dish Network has dropped the AMC Network this summer and they are involved in a little fight. Anyway, not sure if anyone has seen this video, but it is AMC's way of trying to get Dish to pick them back up. You will see the message in the end. It is a really cool video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJYiltdJs1I
I think they should just keep pushing for people to switch to Direct. I did and I couldn't be happier with it....
Yeah, it's getting kinda annoying how every commercial has that "On cable and satelite....NOT ON DISH!".
I'll stick with DISH and just keep watching my AMC shows on my pc. I checked into it and DIRECTV would cost me nearly a hundred bucks more than what I'm paying now for the same package once all their special discounts for signing up expired.
I agree with this. DirectTV is annoying though. One time they say they are losing channels, the next time you check they are gone, and then they are suddenly back. Happens a lot.
It's the exact opposite in my situation. After the 12 month discounts with Direct, I will be paying about 30 bucks less than I was with Dish. And Direct seems to have better(and free) HD channels.
I with Direct TV now and staying with them. Not going to go back and forth. Plus I was given a hell of a good package deal. Dish just pushed me to Direct because they couldn't pony up the money for AMC. And that little legal battle they can't seem to come to an agreement to or end quickly.
That already happened with the Viacom networks only a few days after I had Direct connected. Luckily they had those networks back within a week, so it was really no big deal. Dish dropped AMC about a month ago and from what I read they have no intention of striking a deal so the network can come back. If I have to choose between Direct occasionally dropping networks for a week or two as opposed to Dish dropping them months or more, i'll choose Direct.
The lawsuit has been settled over the Voom networks and AMC is officially back on Dish. I wonder if the S3 premiere record numbers lit a fire under Dish's ass. :zombies_lol:
Me too. I did it right before season 3 started and just heard that Dish brought AMC back (two episodes into it) and thought... who cares. Way to little, way to late.
Direct TV sent me a flyer a week before the first episode with an offer to pay off my fee. I took it!
I ended up dropping Dish because my local cable company merged with the electric company and internet and I pay for all three as one bill. It's so cheap that I upgraded to their platinum package and pay less than three hundred bucks for all three.
