i think they were after some wisdom-of-solomon thing. if they'd know cutting game in half like that ruined it, they would have known daryl would know it too. he's like the obi-wan of game hunting.

Being a hunter I did have to shake my head at this.

 

Also, the rear end of a rabbit has about 90% of the meat - they're all back legs and back muscle. Len got screwed on that deal, even before he got stomped.

 

In a group like Joe's this is the type of justice that is going to be handed down when conflict arises, like it or not, here you go, problem solved. Anyone who would argue with Joe about what you're talking about wouldn't make it far in their gang, these people shoot straight from the hip, that's how they operate.

 

I was wondering why they didn't cook their respective ends. Wouldn't it be better to carry around cooked rabbit meat as opposed to a raw, dead rabbit?

the trouble for me would be if there were two sets of laws, one for Joe and his right hand man, and a set for everyone else. If *everyone* lived by the same tough but fair laws, that would be fine. As long as you were told what the rules were before getting your face kicked in, a fair system is a good system.

 

I don't know, I see him more as the Han solo of game hunting....
