the walkers in the church pews werent the first sitting walkers, as Rick rode into Atlanta, there were walkers sitting on the bus he passed, that stood up and started after him. maybe Walkers get bored, or tired LOL.

I'm watching the July marathon and I realized something. I've said, many times, Rick was stupid for letting Carl approach the deer (I guess he's never seen 'Animals gone wild' videos) and I noticed Shane was going to shoot the deer, but Rick stops him.
Lets see, Short on food. Deer are venison. The RV has a fridge (I'm sure I saw one). That deer could feed the group for several days. NOPE lets let the crumb snatcher 'get in touch with nature' and risk the group staving.
Another reason Rick has the IQ of a Tree Frog.

Maybe Carl didn't see a deer in his life, so Rick has wanted to let him go.
They even didn't knew that Carl would've end up like that.

Shane just wanted to eat something LOL.

Survival should come first. People shouldn't starve because you want your son to see a deer. He could see it close up as you're field dressing it.
    Can you imagine the conversation.
Carl: MOM I saw a deer and it was only 15 FEET AWAY!
Lori: And your father let you get that close!
Carl: He and Shane were right behind me!
Everyone Else: Where's the meat? WE HAVEN'T EATEN IN 2 DAYS AND YOU JUST LET IT GET AWAY! SO CARL COULD SEE THE MAJESTY OF MOTHER NATURE!

Yeah, you're right. But maybe that's the way the director wanted to film (or it was in the comic book... I didn't read it yet so I don't know).

    I noticed something funny.
Rick and Daryl enter this place with the water where Sophia was last seen.
Is it not annoying for them to have wet shoes?!
    I would hate that xD"

Carl gets shot by Otis in the comics as well. It was actually worse on the show than the comics.

that. and if your kid is finally seeing something good in a world of dark popping a shot into it is not a smart thing to do when he's right next to it.

Shane had the shot before Carl moved up. I understand why the Producers did it the way they did, but in reality, Bambi would've been renamed Venison.

i'm with you but carl moved up before shane shot. after that rick stopped him so he would not hit carl or shoot the door literally inches away from him. I feel that could easily happen in real life.

I thought there was a couple of yards between the deer and Shane could've shot before Carl was near the line of fire. Time to rewatch.

Rick later said he took the deer standing in the clearing as a sign; remember that earlier he asked God to help find Sophia.

I agree that Carl had never seen a deer.

Shane was always the violence-before-reason type.

I think Shane was a bomb waiting to go off, but in this instance he was right. It wasn't a 'violence-before-reason' decision it was a 'Venison-before-starvation' decision.

They were supposed to be looking for Sophia, not looking for food. Plus the shotgun blast would've drawn walkers to them.

    8) Why did NOBODY help Rick with the 2 walkers chasing Sofia?

I like this one too, I am still perplexed by this one too

Carol was going to rescue Sophia, but Lori stopped her.

Daryl had just saved T-Dog, and was hiding under a dead walker, so he didn't see what happened.

The others let Rick try and rescue Sophia on his own.
