I haven't finished the first episode of Telltale's The Walking Dead final season game, however Jocelyn's group really felt like it was loosely based off the same concept of group that Clementine and AJ run into at the beginning of the last game.

A group of kids all by themselves Lord of the Flies style. Jocelyn's group even was based in some sort of small school just like the kids in the game. Only difference is there are no adult on the game, and kids aren't crazy savages.

But still I saw a bit of a connection there. No spoilers from the game though please as I haven't finished it yet.
