You can vote for her a thousand times over.... That still doesn't change the fact that she had an off night. Deal with that.

Haha. I'm proud of her and I'm dealing with it fine. I'm not a middle school fanboy. I'm a fan of the show and as a fan, I root for people like Kinney when they finally get a chance to have focus. I think she did great.

Especially the porch scene at the end. If you want to get technical about acting, convincingly portraying being drunk is very difficult. I bet you everything I own that all the acting teachers and actors I know would laugh in your face if you told them it was "terrible." It wasn't. You can dislike it and use hyperbolic language all you want. It doesn't make your overblown opinion any more real, from a technical standpoint. I'm fine with you disliking her performance but you are being so over the top with your language. This isn't an Ed Wood movie.

Also, this is probably my favorite Norman Reedus performance of any episode. It's not like I think she carried the show.

So far it's neck and neck with Beth just out voting by one single vote! I bet this will end in an even tie.

    I choose Beth ..

The word decent doesn't seem to exist on the internet. The only option for something you don't like something about is to say terrible or awful. Liking parts of something seems to just be impossible.

It's also important to pick one aspect out of the whole and hammer away at it. Just disregard all the rest. Just that one little bit and BAM... Everything is terrible!

Or the writing was lazy... LOL

To me, I still say this: neither Beth or Daryl needed an episode for themselves. They still are, to me, the least interesting group in terms of plot progression (really, there's almost nothing on them as of now to move the plot forward), but out of the two, I liked Daryl more. The only episode I truly preferred Beth as the best character was "30 Days Without Accident".

Beth. This was definitely Emily's best performance on the show so far. The argument and the discussion on the porch after it were really great in my opinion. This isn't because of my "middle school crush mentality" either.

We knew from the synopsis, in the spoiler thread, that this was going to be a divisive episode. I understand some of the complaints but I think it was a very strong character study and will somehow tie in with what is to come. Just like 30 Days Without an Accident foreshadowed events and set some in motion. We don't know if we've seen the last of the golf club. We don't know if burning down that house will have ramifications. It could end up as a signal for one of the other groups...

As far plot progression, we did get some major progression as far as the two characters. These were two very emotional distraught people on the edge of giving up on life or thinking that they had very little chance of being alive more then a couple of days. By the end, they both found a new will to live and way to except the past. That's important in a lot of ways. The future will see just how much. :)
