Black Ops 2 Discussion BO2 on Ps4

    Hello,

    I've been reading alot on different websites and forums that BO2 won't exist on Ps4 because of reasons to do with "backwards" compatibility and waste of time/money.
    That would be quite depressing if it's true..

    I personally think that it's not an issue when it comes to compatibility. It was possible between Ps2 and Ps3, what's so difficult about it now? In regards to costs; I'm sure there is a large audience who would still pay for an upgrade, or even a new BO2 disc just to enjoy it on the Ps4. The return on whatever costs the game makers incur would cover up for any "hassle".

    Sony basically decided that not enough people used the backwards compatibility function in the PS3 and PS2, so to reduce the cost of the PS4, the chose to leave BC out. Sony will make PS3 games available to play on the PS4 via streaming, when they activate their recently acquired Gaikai Cloud servers.

    So if you really want to play CoD:BO2 on your PS4, you will have to wait until the end of 2014 at the earliest, which is when Sony are aiming to activate the Gaikai Cloud. Of course this won't be much help to you, if Activision doesn't make CoD:BO2 available from the Gaikai Cloud...

    PS3 and PS2 games will be available to PS4 by digital download solely.

    I wonder how Sony is going to pull this off. The new addition of the cloud seems cool, but to create it so that you can play every game on the PS4 is a bit ridiculous isn't it? So I can play The Last of Us on the PS4? Cool. The what's the point of the remastered version? Every game that was on the PS3 that went on to the PS4 loses their value if someone buys a PS4 with having the said game on the PS3. So, I doubt their going to do Ghosts, Battlefield 4 or Assassin Creed 4, because if they do, what is the point? If they're going to essential sell it for free on the cloud (exception having the game on the PS3), the companies are going to get screwed.

    I think its brilliant having the cloud system...gives us access to 100's of games, this is why PS4 will out-sell XBone.

    If they actually made black ops 2 for nextgen consoles I would love treyarch's forever. I prefer theyarch to activision. Do to play black ops 2 on nextgen would be great, they'd only need to have a little touch up on the graphics and make a few tweaks here and there.
