OMG this the song that came to mind when they started down the street on roller skates

 

I think it was awkward because they have zero chemistry with each other.

 

Personally I like the idea. The chemistry between them has always been interesting, and I think the character development within their relationship has always been good. I think them becoming at least something of an item is a pretty natural and logical story development.

 

Is Enid going to lick Carl's hole? That is the question.

They're actually more like 14-15 years old.

They are careful. They have been growing up in a world where too much sentiment can be dangerous. Both are hardened by their experiences. So, they don't behave like enamored teenagers would do in "our" world. It will need some time until they really start to trust each other and let their guards down. The little kiss was very sweet; and I guess, Enid is worried about Carl now. Maybe, she'll follow him?
