I can't be the only one who thought this looked kinda silly? I don't know it looked silly to me. D:

Here we have everyone rocking automatic M4A1's and Sniper Rifle's and there's Carl with the lever action rifle.

It seems like Rick and Carl took it with them as they left the prison, looks like they're keeping it.

it almost looks like a toy. i guess it's a good fit for him as a character cuz he's still a kid but man, he needs to get an Uzi or something a little more badass.

If I was in the ZA, I would try to have a lot of different caliber guns and use what ever one I could find ammo for.

The Marlin lever action has probably killed more deer than any other rifle in America. The 30-30 is a good caliber and ammo would be fairly plentiful. Carl's gun lacks a rear sight for some reason.

    Marlin makes some reputable arms.
    Love the lever action.

Lack of rear sight would make it a lot tougher to take out the Gov. at 50 yards!

Looks like a marlin 1894. From the short breech, it might be in a pistol caliber... 44 mag maybe.

Probably a lot more reliable gun than a semi auto. Less likely to jam. Far from a toy. Plus it goes good with the Stetson.

Yes! You would definitely want a gun that went with your hat! Good catch!!!

Seen a few mentions of that gun, underestimating it. Would be a great gun to have for reasons other have already mentioned. Good throwdown gun.

Well, yeah... not saying it's an unreliable gun after all I wouldn't know... hardly know anything about guns... but it still looked kinda funny too me.

I don't know... It seems Carl hasn't got his silencer anymore, must of been in the prison when it fell... maybe give him this gun as his new signature/secondary thing alongside his Beretta.

In most shows the actors just seem to pick up whatever gun is closest, without regard for the fact that in one scene they have an automatic, but in the next scene they have a revolver. Here the folks are generally a little better about hanging on to their own guns, as you definitely would in the ZA. (Unless you could scam off a better one!)

You don't really need a sight if your targets are all 10 feet away.

I'd say the governor was more than 10 feet away.. you know he was the main target.

I meant the walkers he actually shot, the ones near Rick, were all very close to him.

I have a winchester model 1894 manufactured in 1899, (very similar to the one shown) it's 30-30 caliber, the ultimate hunting rifle responsible for more dead deer than any other rifle in the world.

I'd use it in the ZA anytime, super reliable, super accurate and shoots one of the most popular and readily available ammo there is. In the ZA you're going to have multiple firearms, stuff you find in people's homes, the rifle fits right into the ZA as far as I'm concerned
