It's unfortunate but you must always look at things without bias, which is quite hard. Carl is a 11-12 year old boy, I mean c'mon, any guy on here or mother/father will know what a pre-teen boy acts like. Then add a post-apocalyptic, hell-hole world into the mix, and you just get disaster for a young, impressionable boy. Honestly, it was rude, but you can't blame the kid especially with the lack of parenting he had at that point and time.
