@Jen7 and I just got done binge watching the first 5 episodes of this Hulu series over the last couple nights.

I have to say I was worried when I found out Stephen King has creative involvement, because he usually does not handle TV adaptations well. But I'm intrigued so far. Don't let Under the Dome scare you off. This is J.J. Abrams, and it shows. Just the right about of weird mystery and unexpected twists.

If you're looking for something to watch and coming up short, I'd give it a try. So far I think its worth the time.

It has a couple bigger names in it too. Like Sissy Spacek, Ann Cusack and Bill Skarsgard. And the characters are for the most part deep and pretty well fleshed out. And you've gotta love Terry O'Quinn and Scott Glenn.

I haven't watched the series yet, but as a fan of King's novels, Castle Rock is one of his primary locations and was featured in a number of novels. So I believe it's basically putting a fresh spotlight on King's universe and all of it's supernatural and mysterious elements. There will be some familiar characters and sites etc, but it's not drawing directly on any of his previous work.

I'm going to eventually check it out, probably toward the end of the year.

Saw the first episode tonight. Looks really good so far! Bill Skarsgard does creepy so well, and all of the cast is great. Just enough mystery to make it interesting without being overwhelming. Sissy Spacek is awesome.

If you're really well versed on Stephen King, I guess there are lots of easter eggs...Neuro mentioned quite a few of them. I'm not as familiar but i think the show holds up as a stand-alone series anyway :)

The girl who plays the young version of Rose from Two and a Half Men was officially cast as Lydia on TWD.
