Were the corpses with signs (i.e. "Liar") foreshadowing something? Anyone gather significance from them? I believe they all were wearing military fatigues, correct?

I got the impression the first two hurt/killed/raped the family of the guy living in the cabin, who put a murderer sign on himself before he shot himself in the head. But I could have totally read that wrong.

I don't know. I couldn't figure it out. Maybe its been done by the same person feeding rats to the walkers?

it was a Hell March for the Governor. he had to face aspects of himself, most of which he'd tried to put behind him. whatever the whole backstory of the cabin is was secondary to this.

actually, my first thought was that Martinez had planted the signs.

My first tought was that the Gov made up this scene to scare them or something. The way he walked behind Martinez and co... I really had the impression he was going to kill them right there in the woods. There is a new party we donĀ“t know anything about is my guess. Maybe a collaboration of Morgan and Carol :D i mean they are both crazy enough to do that.

If the scene foreshadows a future character then that makes it even more interesting!

I have a feeling it was just thrown in there for some drama/extra curiosity. I'd love to find out but I have a feeling we won't.

Was anyone else incredibly intrigued by the man from the cabin? I was really hoping that wasn't him (labeled murderer with his own head blown off). I was a big fan of Dexter up until season 4, after that it was hit or miss. I couldn't help but think of a vigilante anti-hero in the Dexter mold when I saw this.

Anyways, cabin man RIP. Would have liked to have seen how that whole scenario unfolded.

I didnt think Martinez did it, but I definitely agree that it must have felt like the Governor was seeing aspects of his own life, and possibly his fate, (to get his head cut off by Michonne's sword).

It was a pretty cool idea, whatever it was supposed to signify. An even better way to do that would have been to tie/nail them to the trees alive, so they would have been bitten/eaten then turned and had to spend eternity that way, and that would have been real punishment. Kind of reminds me of the poor souls in Dante's Inferno.

I agree. It's similar to the crazy woman from the first episode this season who stabbed herself after she couldn't kill Rick.

I think both of these scenes though also demonstrate to the audience that the world outside the prison is getting darker and crazier.
