Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I'd like to see some survivors challenge Rick's authority and stage a coup, feeling that he's taken safety for granted by engaging in a war.

My thought of what could happen...I'll put this as a spoiler just in case no one wants to think ahead but this is just my thought...I don't really THINK this will happen but curious if it would...

 

I have anxiety over it too! I wonder if Negan will win because a lot of us love to hate him so much! I am so nervous to think RIck and Michonne (and some of the others) may not be any longer....SCARES ME! I am so anxious I can't stand it!

 

That would be pretty cool, also imagine if it cuts to this 'new group' and the comics follow them for a while and they finally reach the first antagonist and its an older Carl who thinks like Negan in charge of Negans old group!

 

I don't like that idea at all, but I have to admit it would be interesting.

 

Yeah I don't know how I would feel about the entire thing, but I was expanding on a theory that I would find pretty cool/interesting.
What I personally think will happen is Rick & Co. will all die and it does cut to a new group (maybe elsewhere in the world?) because that tagline scares me into thinking so haha. What i'd LIKE to happen is either that or at least Rick dies and it has a flash-forward when its all over and that is Sophia on the front (doubt they'd show Carl older on the cover as it'd be a giveaway) Not sure who else would survive.

I just hope it isn't just another group who jump in last minute and steal the kill on Negan and Ricks group are successful, for the most part.

It's a bit odd though, that we're going to meet new characters directly after the war. After the final battle at the prison there were a few issues where the characters recovered and regrouped, but this time it's straight into the next phase of the story. I like it.

 

Okay I actually kinda like this idea.

 

A double-issue and new faces on the cover? Hell fuc*ing yeah! Can't wait for this. This could mean anything. Maybe really bad things will happen at the end of war and this new group will come across Survivors or Saviors. To help them? Take over the places? Who knows...

Since it's gonna be a double-issue, what if they put a prequel story on half of it about some character(s)?

 

Yeah, I feel pretty certain it's something like this. It's a new group that's going to end up helping finally take The Saviors down. Maybe they somehow got wind of the war and are under Negan's tyranny. It would make since, as Rick and co have taken out some of The Savior's outposts.

 

I'm pretty sure kirkman is trolling hardcore with this cover. Can't wait until April regardless

 

This war could be bloodier than ever including major deaths at the end of it, which means they could introduce us with that new group. Kirkman will do some crazy stuff.
