I agree. I don't see Rick dying either. It's just a cover done to stir even more interest when it's simply introducing new characters like we so with the Abraham and Co. previously.

Yeah I think you're right about this being a move from Kirkman to stir speculation and interest, but I DO hope they are something more than a team that come in to save the day. I hope this character doesn't get the kill on Negan either, however much I love Negans character, I want his death to be satisfying unlike the Gov haha

 

I don't see that group threatening. Seems more on the "good" side.

 

I don't know if I do or not, but just something I thought about. I do like Negan, he is so interesting. I don't want Rick and Michonne to die But if they do I hope at least Carl survives even if they do go on with a new group. But the new group facing Carl/Negan...maybe Carl could calm Negan down LOL

Yeah I could see that being Sophia and possibly Maggie/Glenns Kid. I don't think they'd put anyone that resembles Carl at all though cause that would be a big giveaway of a time jump

They probably aren't there to save the day. Undoubtedly more characters will die and they'll fill in the void in the same way Abraham and crew were introduced after the prison arc.

I think anyone that read The Fall of The Governor part 2 knows that that girl on the cover is definitely Lily Caul. The books are an extension of the comics. Instead of a time jump forward, there will be a time jump backward. Somehow, someway, We see Lily and Rick's group hooking up. Who knows if it will be as allies or enemies? Maybe this is just part of the "Whole new comic" we will see after 126.

I feel like a time skip could very well happen. Kirkman could go either way with this issue.

 

Lilly is just no. Her story is over, in both the comics and the TV show.
